A/Prof Christopher McDevitt

Christopher obtained his PhD in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Queensland, Australia. He then undertook two postdoctoral roles studying membrane transport proteins, in the laboratories of Prof. Ben Berks and A/Prof. Richard Callaghan, at the University of Oxford, UK. In 2008, he relocated to the University of Adelaide, to take up a position in the Research Centre for Infectious Disease (RCID). In 2012, he established an independent laboratory at Adelaide focussing on the chemical biology of human bacterial pathogens. Currently, he is an ARC Future Fellow and serves as the Deputy Director of two Adelaide Centres, the RCID and the Australian Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Ecology (ACARE).
